While train stations do not give me that same elating airport feeling, they do possess their own kind of architectural je ne sais quoi, woo woo voodoo, or vibe. Perhaps you have heard the phrase 'liminal spaces'. This is similar because of the scale of the open space at major train stations. It's not necessarily about the aesthetics or engineering of the station but an intangible mix of sensations and perceptions. The palpitating anticipation of acceleration. 🚄
