Chtěl jsem napsat, že graffiti je umění, ale nejsem si tím jist. Chtěl jsem napsat, že graffiti je vandalismus, ale nejsem si tím jist. Protože záleží na prostředí a na kontextu. Jsou místa, kde by mi to velmi vadilo. Ale jsou místa, jako třeba železniční nákladní vozy, kde mi to nevadí ani v nejmenším.

There are places where it would bother me a lot. But there are places, like railway freight cars, where I don't mind in the slightest.

Když to nejsou jen tupé tagy, ale opravdová malba, když grafik zvolí vhodný "podklad" a když se vyhne důležitým nápisům a označením, tak já proti tomu nic nemám. ČD Cargo by možná nesouhlasilo, ale podle mě to vzhledu železniční nákladních vozů nijak neubližuje. Když to není lepší, není to vlastně ani horší.

If it's not just dull tags, but a real painting, if the graphic artist chooses a suitable 'background' and if he avoids important inscriptions and markings, then I have nothing against it. ČD Cargo might not agree, but in my opinion it does not hurt the appearance of railway freight cars. When it's not better, it's not worse.
