Malarrif Lighthouse was built in 1917 and was later rebuilt in its current form. It is located on the west coast of Iceland, a two and a half hour drive from Reykjavik. In general, the lighthouse stands on a rocky shore, and the area surrounding it consists of lava formations — a typical Icelandic harsh terrain. But still there is always life around, so I took a photo of it in a more cheerful way, along with the meadow and flowers.
This nice lighthouse looks a bit like an old rocket pointing upward, but it was not launched and remained on the ground. And rightly so, let it stand there — I think, as a lighthouse, it is more needed here than as a rocket.

Wow, nice lighthouse. There are definitely too few lighthouses in Austria.
