On the banks of the Bartang River (right tributary of the Panj River) in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Tajikistan. The mountains, their relief and the play of light on their vertical surfaces are so eye-catching that the river may not be noticed at first. But it is here, just take a look :)
