I've already talked about my job and about my passions in the last few days. Now let's say something about my state of mind. The creative business, unlike what some people think, requires a sharp view on the world. Art is often used as a critique on society and a motor to change. In order to do that, we have to be well educated. Not only are the papers mandatory daily literature, but also social media, fora, Youtube provide windows into peoples minds and into their hearts.
This last part to me is especially important. One of my main businesses is coaching new (young & older) artists on their path into showbizz. I can only do that if I have a good view on their inner workings.
Second to that, knowledge of our history is also a must. Since we don't want to repeat our ancestors mistakes and don't want to reinvent hot water. The picture I chose for you today is therefore of some piece of my favorite part of history. Being a Thespian, you don't have to think too hard to know that the society who gave birth to theatre has a special place to me.
Just think about how many people have laid eyes upon these stones and on how many lives these stones have survived. If they could talk, what would they have to say about everybody that has passed here?
