The past weeks i've been on my lossing strick and i was down 4% of my prop firm capital then i said to my self that if the last trade ends up a lossing one i will go off trading for a while and work on myself more and to gain some phycologycal strenght.
It was on friday morning which was the new York session, after my morning routine, i came at my desk and started looking for opportunities in the market.
I was only looking for my highest probability setup which is based on liquidity sweep, i saw many opprotunities that played out but i was so focused and disciplined to abide to my rules which is (no highest probability setup no trade),
I waited for about two and half hours before i could see a sign of an opportunity and i was patiantly waiting for the right time to get in for the trade which i've made up my mind that if it goes wrong i will go off for a while I entered for the trade without hesitation,resevation nor fear when all my confirmation where checked for it to be considered as my highest probability setup This time i was only risking 0.25% of my capital bacause i already reached my daily loss limit and the 0.25% is all i've got so i had to make my last move with it,
As the trade was running it almost stopped me out bacause of my broker's spread but it didn't, at this moment i was so calm,relaxed and i kept on riciting my trading afimation to myself which made me stayed forcuse and not do anything rsckless with my possition.
The trade ran through the london session to the new york session without even getting half way my take profit, this was so frustrating because it's fryday and i don't like holding trades over the weekend and there is a high impact news coming up which i would not like to leave my possition still on,
10 minutes to the news my trade have not gotten near to my tp 1 not to talk of my tp 2 i had to set b.e and forget the trade and i also had to convince myself that i didn't take a trade that day, but one thing was sure, 65% of my taken on frydays is a good one so i have to trust it.
The news came and with just one candle stick my tp 1 got hit i was so excited because i made the decision not to close my possion early i couldn't hold my self anymore for it is the biggest profit with a small pecent risk i've ever made so i completely close all my possition.
I made 1.86% with 0.25% risk that day which is incredible, i don't know about you but to me and what i've seen risk management is really the holy grill in trading.
