There's no ideal system, but if everyone keeps driving the old polluters then things get worse. A while back I got a good trade-in for my old car against a new one through a government scheme. Our current car is 21 years old and won't last forever. If rich people want a big Range Rover or a Jeep then they have to pay more tax.

Oh yes big cars I'm fine more tax... But small cars? Do they pay a lot if old? I got a 2004 Yaris, new cars are expensive like hell, I'll just keep it
