The seasonal variation in solar gain is likely to be much bigger in the UK than in Pakistan. You can see a full year here.
I have read that Bangladesh has a lot to gain from solar. I would be interested to hear about the experience of people there.
I have seen that Solar is big in Pakistan for various reasons. People need energy security. In some places they may not take it for granted like we do here.

In Bangladesh, solar power is becoming very popular now. Many industries are using it, especially for irrigation in agriculture. Even some fuel stations are starting to use solar panels. People also use it at home, but not as professionally as yours. It’s mostly for basic needs here. I will try to share some local photos soon.
