As I have been bringing in recent posts blockchain is a distributed ledger technology that allows the creation of secure and immutable ledgers. It is based on cryptography and mathematical algorithms that make the information recorded on the blockchain almost impossible to alter or forge.
Security is a major challenge of all digital technologies. Hackers have caused millions of losses. One of the ways to try to deal with this problem is blockchain technology.
The decentralized nature of the blockchain means that there is no single entity responsible for maintaining the ledger, which makes the information much more secure. Instead, the information is maintained on multiple nodes across the network, making fraudulent modification extremely difficult. All validators/witnesses must agree with the information for this information in a given block to be validated.
Furthermore, the use of end-to-end encryption makes the information safe from unauthorized access. The information is encrypted before being added to the blockchain and can only be decrypted by someone who has the correct key.

Furthermore, the immutable nature of the blockchain means that information cannot be changed later, which ensures data integrity.
