The slider does show the htu.
Htu is what you see on posts, it is not vests, not hive, not hbd.
When the post pays out the htu are converted to hbd and/or hp.
The difference is generally very small from what was displayed on the post.
Posts with more than 15htu payouts get that payout from the redfish getting pushed off the long tail.
All posts do, but this is the game we are playing.
All those trending posts push a heck of a lot of redfish and minnows off the crumb line.
Lowering the top payouts ups the bottom payouts.
Hive is a zero sum game.
The pool either goes to 10 posts at the top, or 100's of posts at the bottom.
So, if you were making the trending page everyday, you might not like this drum I'm beating.
When you vote, your vests, better known as hp, contribute rshares to the post.
Rshares are displayed in htu for people that don't yet know the difference.
When the post pays, and the rshares convert to your payout, the htu's go away.
They call what appears to be your payout htu's because the math could payout a slightly different amount of hbd's worth of hp and any liquid rewards due to a myriad of reasons from price to last second whale votes.
It simplifies the math to leave all that out and just call them htu's until they hit your wallet.
Until you have more than ~530,000hp, I would call most anything you can do on the chain as fair game.
Just power up everything you can, it's feeding the goose with the golden eggs, eh?
