Hello all,
I'm Annie and I'm new to Hive. I'm a nature lover and avid native plant gardener in Maplewood, Missouri, just outside St. Louis. This is my favorite time of year as my garden begins to awaken. As it comes to life in early spring, my first blooms are always purple.
First to bloom is always my Sand Phlox (phlox bifida):
Followed shortly by Virginia Bluebells (mertensia virginica):
And of course, good old Violets (viola sororia), which many consider a weed in our area but I embrace:
