Magnolias in my garden - nice but not for bees

Magnolias are pollinated by beetles, not bees. This is because magnolias are among the oldest flowering plants on earth, and beetles are evolutionarily older than bees. Also, magnolias have too little nectar for bees.

But I still like my magnolias in my garden - here is a recent picture
