El Monte Roraima desde el punto de vista geográfico marca la frontera entre Brasil-Guyana-Venezuela (Punto Triple); debe su nombre a que justamente se encuentra en el Estado brasileño de Roraima.
Esta meseta (se le denomina así a las elevaciones que en su cima son planas) está formada por cuarcitas y areniscas, su altura es de unos 2800 metros sobre el nivel del mar aproximadamente y en los bordes se caracterizan por la presencia de acantilados. En su cima existen disímiles cascadas que fluyen hacia numerosos lagos y ríos, entre ellos destacan el río Orinoco y el Amazonas.
