Closeup of a dandelion

in Amazing Naturelast month (edited)

The dandelion is a common colonizer of disturbed habitats in Europe and Asia and was also imported to Northern America. Both from wind blown seeds and seed germination from the seed bank. When released, the seeds can be spread by the wind up to several hundred meters from their source. So they can easily spread over greater distances. I decided to take some closeup pictures of the seeds with my Macro lens when I found this dandeleon recently.

We've also had dandelions blooming, but not everywhere. Fragile delicate flowers. By the way, dandelions are made into jam.

Yes I made some Jam with my grandmother from them when I was still a Child.
