We appreciate your posts and the following ones are randomly selected because of their botanical qualities. They are manually curated on behalf of the Amazing Nature Community.

First a brief explanation about Botany:

Botany is a broad term covering scientific study of plants. It could be from a small living organism to a tree. Included would be flora, fungi, lichens, trees and flowering plants.

We are also interested in plants for their psychological (good for the mind & soul) benefits.

Through botany, medicinal properties are discovered from nature. Food, medicines, parks, forests, pollution and much more have been improved with botanical knowledge. Botanists search for alternatives from the harmful chemicals used on crops and the deforestation that has damaged the health of our planet.

Herbalism, with ancient people identifying edible, medicinal or poisonous plants, is the original of Botany. Our ancestors and Native peoples were botanists in their own right. They knew of the healing properties to be found in plants but much of that knowledge had been lost to future generations.

Now I would like to bring your attention to the curated posts and ask you to show some love to the amazing authors:

  • @kawsar8035 shares his feelings after seeing the sunflowers. He found looking at the flowers relieved his worry and tiredness after his son was admitted to hospital. He recalls that flowers have been used as symbols of love for ages, drawing us with gestures and urges to enjoy their beauty.

  • @kohsamui99 reminds us to take a walk in the garden or a favorite park after the rain and let your spirits get lifted up by mother nature. He finds photographing flowers after the rain is the most wonderful way to see them. They look so fresh, alive with rain droplets hanging off them. He enjoys walking through a garden or park after the rain. It is a most adorable time, smelling the freshness in the air mixed with all those fragrance coming from the flowers

  • @diana20 is fairly new to Hive. She writes about growing Yellow Cosmos in her flower garden. It belongs to the Asteraceae family and is native to Central America. Cosmos exist in different colors besides yellow, such as, orange and red. Although Cosmos is an annual, if the conditions are right the plant will self-seed. Cosmos is an easy to grow plant and attracts many pollinators, such as, bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and others.
