(Google translate from Czech)

Either I announce "lifeless" topics, or you have other worries :-). I'll start again by evaluating the previous challenge.

Greetings to all fans of Amazing Nature Community.

Again, only one competitor entered the thematic challenge 1/7/21. Therefore, no vote was opened on the ANC discord.

The first and only award deserves @farmlife for its One square meter from the Indian countryside.

Whether you are on any continent, in the south or in the north, you are sure to meet them. Whom? After all, the subject of a new topic :-)
We will stay in the plant kingdom and focus on

Mushrooms (of all kinds)

Your tasks for this topic:

  • take a documentary photo
  • try to determine the type of mushrooms photographed
  • describe where you found the mushrooms and what attracted you
  • for interest, you can add your instructions for processing edible mushrooms

As always, a little inspiration follows :-)

It's been a long time since I've just photographed this mushroom for fun.

It's a red toadstool. It occurs in large numbers in Czech forests. This fungus is poisonous and therefore does not collect. However, I always admire her beauty. It can illuminate the forest and attracts at first sight.

How are winners selected?
The entire DNA community will vote for the winners. That's why we created a special competition channel #challenge-entries in DNA Discord (Amazing Nature Contest). Here I will publish a post with the announcement including the winners (Announcement) EVERY MONDAY together with all your contributions (Contributions) EVERY SUNDAY. Each DNA member will be able to assign a "voting emoji" under the items for 24 HOURS. In the end, the lucky winners are three of them. In case of a draw, I will join as a judge.

Note: The above channels on the DNA discord are for voting only! Do not post links to your competition articles and photos here!

A new topic is announced every Monday. If you are interested, follow us :-)

mod.png

that would ge great, more participants - more fun. dont forget to check other entries and cast your vote in AMN discord channel. 🧐🙏🙏

its a matter of fact: you choose the mushrooms topic after 3 weeks of serious non-stop hot dry weather without any rains. impossible to find mushrooms :/

previous week was more intresting topic, I conducted a photo session and identified 60% of the plants... never had time for doing more. sadly.

It doesn't grow much in our country either. Maybe there are areas where they are more lucky :-)

mod.png

I got that. btw -- today in the morning I just found some mummified champignons that have grown in previous weeks, could fit them into the post easily! )))

All mushrooms can be used as specified. Even mummified :-)

cannot but agree! i wish I could find some mummified black truffles, instead of champignons ))

You will have to buy a specially trained pig in France :-)

of I can! that could be a great and wis investment, but tell me WHERE, where I should accomodate her for living? in my city flat?!!!! 😜

This fungus is poisonous and therefore does not collect.

btw, Amanita muscaria is one of the best mushrooms, the deadly doze is 5-6 mushrooms. yes, it has toxins. but it has also an antidote in itself. it is a very useful medicinal (and edible) mushroom.

Thank you for the professional addition.
I am just an "amateur picker" and I have been avoiding this mushroom since childhood :-)

mod.png

me too. and I consider myself an amateur, same as you. @bambuka is a real pro!

:-). @bambuka probably comes from a family of Slavic veduns :-)

I am not convinced about that. but he is well educated and, as English men call it, 'a self-made man' . with a mushrooms help, ofc ))))
