It has been a long while since I last participated in this contest and somehow with everything that is happening this week, I thought it's best to share that not all nature is pretty and happy.
This is nature at it's worst when Mother Nature decides to strike us with her anger. Endless rain for days in the central of Vietnam - Da Nang & Hoi An and as a result, many homes are filled with water almost to the rooftop. There is no roads; just long gushing muddy water everywhere.
This is Hoi An, once a beautiful ancient city with years of history and culture. Yet, when the rain strikes from September till mid December, all streets are covered with muddy water. Not so pretty huh.. this is nature; like I said, not all nature is pretty - some are really sad and hard.
Let us pray that Mother Nature will end her wrath soon if not many more homes will be destroyed. As if it wasn't enough that the global pandemic is hitting us, Mother Nature doesn't seemed to have any pity on us, homosapiens at all.

Actually the force of nature is unstoppable and man as part of it is also exposed to its consequences. Here in Venezuela, where I live, there was a disaster in a town because of the intense rains but also because of the effect of the fires that man has produced in the mountains. A hug and may everything get better.

Oh my goodness @ireenchew! Hard to believe there can be that much water flowing through a city! Is it close to where you live?
I've never witnessed flooding like that but our greatest fear where we live is forest fires, living right in the forest!

Hi @porters.. Thankfully, I don't stay near here but this is Central Vietnam and the weather forecast says that the rain & flood will carry on until mid Dec.

Wow! That is a long time for the rains and floods to carry on when there is already so much damage and that much more could lead to ruination for many.
