Tito's new shoes. / Los Zapatos nuevos de Tito.
Many know the horse ¨Tito¨ that belongs to my neighbor and today the vet came to put his shoes on so he can work better.
As the doctor says: "I came to equip him with his working implements". Horses are fitted with these horseshoes so that they do not suffer from any cuts, since being in the open field they can get a glass or something that hurts their legs.
The doctor is a specialist in horses, not in cows or domestic animals. But in the town, there is no other option than to do whatever comes along since there are no more doctors to call for an emergency.
When I saw all those implements I was more scared than the horse. I immediately remembered the dentists haha, they are the ones with iron implements, but these are bigger. It has a file, hammer, nails, pliers, etc.
The horseshoes have 6 nails, 3 on each side. This does not hurt since they are nailed to the nail, the part where we cut ourselves without it hurting, they also have that space where they nail the nails.
The helmet is filed, the horseshoe is measured, it is nailed and this is done to all four legs and that's it. The horse has new shoes, he will be able to work calmly for 3 months, which is the time to change the horseshoes again.

Muchos conocen al caballo ¨Tito¨ que le pertenece a mi vecino y hoy vino el veterinario a ponerle sus zapatos para que trabaje mejor.
Como dice el doctor: ¨Vine a dotarlo de sus implementos de trabajo¨. A los caballos le ponen esas herraduras para que no sufran de ninguna cortadura ya que estando en el campo abierto pueden conseguir un vidrio o algo que los lastime en sus patas.
El doctor es especialista en caballos, no en vacas ni animales doméstico. Pero en el pueblo no hay otra opción que hacer lo que se presente ya que no hay más médicos a quién llamar para una emergencia.
Cuando vi todos esos implementos me asusté más que el caballo. Me acordé enseguida de los odontólogos haha, ellos son los que tienen implementos de hierro, pero estos son más grandes. Tiene lima, martillo, clavos, alicate, etc.
Las herraduras llevan 6 clavos, 3 a cada lado. Esto no les duele ya que son clavados en la uña, la parte donde nosotros nos cortamos sin que nos duela, ellos también tienen ese espacio donde clavar los clavos.
Se lima el ¨casco¨, se mide la herradura, se clava y esto se le hace a las cuatro patas y listo. El caballo tiene zapatos nuevos, podrá trabajar con tranquilidad por 3 meses que es el tiempo que hay que volver a cambiar las herraduras.
