RE: Amazing Nature Contest: FREE TOPIC - #2: Crisantemo

Oh well, everyday is there something new to learn right? It was a surprise for me too!

Aphelenchoides ritzemabosi, known as the "chrysanthemum leaf nematode" is important in several crops, mainly those belonging to the Compositae family and strawberry. This species reproduces in the leaves and floral tissues (Hunt, 1993). In Venezuela, it was noted by Meredith and Yépez (1973) in spikenard, near La Encrucijada de Carabobo, Carabobo State, in material from Los Teques, Miranda State. Despite the fact that it is an important nematode and that it can cause serious damage to the foliage of the plants it attacks, there are no further studies in the country. source

Chrysanthemum grows really tiny here so for what I research it's a "garden type" of flower, like the "garden" and roses, very common but of course never the same that the imported ones, huge flowers 🤗
