It's very true what you say, there is no worse disappointment for a tourist than having a place in mind and when you get there you realize that what you saw or what they told you is not so.
It's a shame that your friends were not able to see all the beauty of the place, they would have been disappointed without a doubt.
Personally, I like the clouds and the fog, it has a special charm.

I think that even with the clouds the landscape looked very beautiful. It was a good afternoon, although they will have to go again if they want to see a clear landscape. 😅
