Finally we are back in one of our favorite parks this year after so many months.

It was a nice and sunny weekend after so many rainy months, so we decided to check out our favorite park. It was already pretty late in the day, but I really wanted to get outside in the sun, since we have not seen many sunny days this winter.

Vancouver doesn't get very cold, it was pretty much around 10 degrees celsius till last two weeks when it got a bit colder and it snowed one whole night and day whole day.

This day was sunny and beautiful, but if was quite cold in this park, I guess because of this tiny lake/pond. I was actually so surprised to see this lake frozen because it hasn't been that cold.

It was a total surprise to me to see people skating and playing hockey on this beautifully frozen lake.

I love this wild nature park, wherd you can enjoy a plenty of sunny trails and shady trails if you wish. Today it was pretty chilly, so we didn't walk the beautiful shady trails, but soon, hopefully.

This is pretty much how Vancouver winters are, which I love. The winters here are green. Last year we got about 3 days of snow, which took about a week to melt, which was chaotic and this year so far, we got one day of snow, which took about 2-3 days to melt.

Isn't this just so beautiful and peaceful?

This little and short walk, was just what I needed, after being stuck at home for the winter, because of all the rain.

I still pretty much walked daily, during my lunch break at work, even in those rainy days, but it was so nice finally to get out to a park and really just enjoy and relax in this amazing, healing nature.

Thank you for coming with us for this short wintery walk. Enjoy your week.

Winter? WINTER?!?! ;)

That cold snap made us dip to -16 here in Ontario and stay in the -double digits for like a week. So funny to see the people playing on the ice with all the green in the background. It does seem grey and overcast quite a bit in winter on the left coast so it is great to see you getting out and enjoying the blue sky!

Oh wow. That looks so pretty, but I know it's not that great to drive in it since I lived in Prince George for 27 years, with harsh winters, so Vancouver is nothing like it and thats why I like it. Especially since I don't do any winter sports like skiing etc.
