Esta araña es muy frecuente en zonas como matorrales, bosques, y les gusta vivir entre grietas y rocas, troncos de árboles y construcciones humanas, donde aman techos y escondrijos.
La Kukulcania hibernalis es de tamaño pequeño a mediano, esta tiene una longitud de unos 3 cm. Su cuerpo es de color marrón oscuro o negro, y su abdomen es redondeado.
Encontre qu esta especie no construyen telarañas, pues es una araña saltadora. Utiliza sus fuertes patas para saltar a distancias cortas y capturar a sus presas para alimentarse.
Aunque puede morder si se siente amenazada, su mordedura no suele ser peligrosa, la Kukulcania hibernalis tiene un veneno suave y generalmente causa solo molestias leves.
