Today I passed a flower meadow in the city. Instead of ordinary grass, various types of flowers were planted there, which are fond of insects from the pollinator group. Such insects include, among others bees, butterflies, bumblebees, wasps, beetles, and even ants, flies and moths. This place was amazing. I haven't seen so many butterflies and bumblebees in a long time. Besides, many beautiful flowers grew close to each other.
Przejeżdżałam dzisiaj obok łąki kwietnej, która znajduje się mieście. Zamiast zwykłej trawy zasadzono tam różne gatunki kwiatów, które lubią owady z grupy zapylaczy. Do takich owadów zalicza się m.in. pszczoły, motyle, trzmiele, osy, chrząszcze, a nawet mrówki, muchówki, czy ćmy. To miejsce było niesamowite. Dawno nie widziałam tak wiele motyli i bąków. Poza tym blisko siebie rosło dużo pięknych kwiatów.
On this dark pink narrow-leaved echinacea, a butterfly appeared every now and then. Mostly it was a butterfly of the species of the peacock butterfly. It may be common, but I like its appearance very much. Characteristic shapes resembling eyes on spread wings and a brown, red color.
Na tej ciemnoróżowej jeżówce wąskolistnej co chwila pojawiał się jakiś motyl. Przeważnie był to motyl z gatunku rusałka pawik. Może i pospolity, ale bardzo mi się podoba jego wygląd. Charakterystyczne kształty przypominające oczy na rozłożonych skrzydełkach i brązowo, rudy kolor.
Another interesting plant in the meadow was the Liatris spicata. From below it looked a bit like a cactus and from above it had lots of small white flowers.
Kolejną ciekawą rośliną na łące była liatra kłosowa. Z dołu przypominała trochę kaktusa, a z góry miała mnóstwo małych, białych kwiatów.
Another plant that I liked was the blue-purple Echinops ritro, the southern globethistle. He won the favor of bumblebees that kept coming to him for pollen. It is no coincidence that it is a honey plant. The southern globethistle had flowers resembling stars gathered in spherical baskets.
Inną rośliną, która mi się spodobała był niebiesko-fioletowy przegorzan pospolity. Zaskarbił sobi przychylność trzmieli, które co chwile przylatywały do niego po pyłek. Nieprzypadkowo, to roślina miododajna. Pogorzan pospolity miał kwiaty przypominające gwiazdki zebrane w kuliste koszyczki.
There was still such a white Echinacea in the meadow. As with the pink echinacea, butterflies eagerly flew to it. Each insect has its favorite flowers that somehow attract it to itself.
Na łące rosła jeszcze taka biała jeżówka. Podobnie jak do różowej jeżówki, chętnie przylatywały do niej motyle. Każdy owad ma swoje ulubione kwiaty, które go w jakiś sposób przyciągają do siebie.
