These flowers belonging to Poppy family is native to Mexico along with some parts of USA but now it is ubiquitous. This species of plant though looks beautiful is actually an invasive plant. The flower is easy to distinguish by its cup shaped flower which is yellow in color and green leaves having many spines. Since they have prickly spines these flowers are also known as Mexican Prickly poppy plant.

The flower can deliver a significant sweet aroma even to a long distance. However, all parts of plants are considered to be toxic. It is worthy to mention that it had been used in the field of medicine from its native place. The use of various compounds found in the plants have been mentioned in the ancient Indian texts to cure certain illness, one particular exam is the jaundice.

Yes since it occupies other territories😀

Certainly sounds part American 😆

We generally consider this plant as waste and weed out those from the garden. But zs you know, the Basant ritu is so charming to bring the best evem from.those which ee consider as useless.

Basant Ritu is a favorite season of all people.
