Greetings nature lovers of #amazingnature, it is a pleasure to be here with all of you again, and to enjoy his incredible publications really are fascinating. Seeing the wonders that our beloved nature offers us every day is indescribable magic. At the call of our friend @adalger this is my entry for Amazing Nature Contest - June 2020 - # 03.
Here I present to you my dear daughter Genesis, accompanied by these beautiful Sunflowers, Sown in my mother's Garden.
These beautiful images of sunflower flowers are for me one more example of how incredible and wonderful nature is and the things that it can do since this flower received its name because it is always looking at the sun, a phenomenon known in biology like heliotropism. During the morning its flowers point to the east and during the day they follow the movement of the sun to the west. They say that this beauty is related to success, fame, happiness and luck.
In addition to being beautiful, sunflowers have great nutritional qualities, such as phosphorous, iron, calcium, and vitamins B and C. Therefore, flowers are widely used in cooking and their seeds are also part of the ingredients used in the preparation of breads, cakes, sauces and soups.
Sunflowers are also often indicated as pest repellents on plantations of other species, but can also be used to ward off common insects in homes and even decorate the home.
The oil from this plant is highly recommended by nutritionists and doctors as an option for soy, as its use helps control cholesterol levels in the body.
As for the seeds, they serve as food for birds and are generally mixed with other types of bird food. Even the residues of the extraction of its oil can be used and serve as a supplement in the feeding of cows and dairy pigs.
As for its cultivation of the sunflower it is quite simple, since it is a plant very resistant to climatic variations.
So are they incredible or not? In addition to being beautiful, it offers us a wide range of benefits.
