Hoy les comparto la captura fotográfica de un lindo insecto, el cual es conocido comúnmente en la zona como cerbatana. Su nombre científico es Phyllovates chlorophaea. Este insecto se encuentra en Brasil, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia, México, Panamá y Venezuela.
Greetings friends who love to capture the wonderful images that nature gives us. Today I share with you the photographic capture of a beautiful insect, which is commonly known in the area as blowgun. Its scientific name is Phyllovates chlorophaea. This insect is found in Brazil, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela.

Este insecto siempre me ha llamado la atención, porque parece un pedacito de rama viviente, los que son de colores marrones, se pueden hacer pasar como si nada por una rama seca. Resulta sorprendente la imitación de las alas con un hoja y el de las patas con las raíces de las plantas. Usa este camuflaje para pasar desapercibida de los que la puedan depredar, o para cazar.
This insect has always attracted my attention, because it looks like a little piece of living branch, the brown ones can be passed off as a dry branch. It is surprising how the wings imitate a leaf and the legs imitate plant roots. It uses this camouflage to go unnoticed by predators, or to hunt.
Es realmente fascinante la naturaleza, al ver como este insecto camuflajeado de hoja se mueve.
