Have a good day my frends.😊
This is my entry to the Amazing Nature Contest.
Everyone can participate, read more HERE.

A few days ago I needed to detach myself a bit from the usual routine, from the noise of the city and the confusion of the people who crowd the streets.

What better place than the protected nature reserve of the CIRCEO NATIONAL PARK, which since 1934 it preserves the wild flora and fauna typical of the area.
It is located along the Tyrrhenian coast of Lazio, Italy, between Anzio and Terracina, which covers an area of 5,616 hectares and takes its name from the promontory of Circeo.

In this part of the reserve is located immersed in the silence of unspoiled nature, Lake Fogliano, separated from the Tyrrhenian Sea only by a coastal road.
From some photos you can see that the shape of a mountain that rises steeply above the sea is outlined: it is Mount Circeo. Known because it was the place where Ulysses met the sorceress Circe, goddess or witch of Greek mythology told in the Odyssey.

Walking you will encounter the Buffalo Pontine that graze inside the reserve, this is the area of the typical buffalo mozzarella.

Calves look curious as I take pictures of them.

The grass is already dry due to the summer heat, but some flowers make their way through the weeds.

Time to go home.
The walk was really pleasant and regenerating.
I hope I managed to convey the positive feelings that I felt during my journey through my photos.

National Parks are always such great places to go to. Luckily there are still people out there who care about nature and do their best to keep those areas untouched ^^

I think trying to make cities greener is the only direction we can take to improve our lives. Thanks a lot for your comment.😊
