No fue uno de los mejores días para visitar este lugar único por su geología singular, pero aguantar un poco de frío en un día nublado mereció la pena.
It was not one of the best days to visit this unique place for its singular geology, but enduring a bit of cold on a cloudy day was worth it.
A pesar de no ser muy extenso, (este Paraje Natural no ocupa más de 1.200 hectáreas), no es difícil perderse si la niebla se hace densa, lo que en este entorno, ocurre con facilidad, especialmente en los meses de otoño e invierno, donde incluso, puede nevar o al menos, congelarse.
Despite not being very extensive, (this Natural Park does not occupy more than 1,200 hectares), it is not difficult to get lost if the fog becomes dense, which in this environment, happens easily, especially in the autumn and winter months, where it can even snow or at least freeze.
La historia que cuentan las piedras es única. Descendientes de un sumidero marino, de seres y roca caliza que fue acumulándose durante miles de años, las rocas se formaron y elevaron. Es frecuente ver fósiles entre sus "entrañas".
The story told by the stones is unique. Descendants of a marine sinkhole, beings, limestone, salt and other elements. These remains accumulated over thousands of years to form karst rock and rise. It is common to see fossils in their "entrails".
El sandwich del que fueron creadas originó que cada "capa" tuviera un comportamiento diferente frente a la erosión causada por el agua, el frío o el viento, dándo lugar a éstas formaciones tan curiosas en forma de "setas".
The sandwich from which they were created caused that each "layer" had a different behavior against erosion caused by water, cold or wind, giving rise to these curious formations in the form of "mushrooms".
Además, la majestuidad del paisaje y la energía que transmite invitan a pasear por esta maravilla de la naturaleza, haga frío, sol, niebla o nieve, pero sin perderse demasiado, por si acaso....
