Greetings friends of #AmazingNature today I present the mussels and how they are grown in the sea, I managed to take these photos on my visit to Puerto Martínez Beach, observe these mussels that are growing on the rocks, it is incredible how beautiful it is to see this in the nature. In my family we consume seafood and I enjoy it a lot, especially because we get it fresh.

Mussels are mainly marine organisms, although they tolerate highly variable salinities and are located in shallow areas influenced by the tides.

Mussels are sedentary animals that are fixed on a substrate, forming large colonies on rocks, shells, boat hulls or any submerged object, to which they are fixed by means of filaments known as byssus.

The mussel is a very popular mollusk in the city of Carúpano, because we have access to them very fresh, we find it at the beaches we visit. Mussels have separate sexes, the female has orange to pale pink gonads, and the male is white or cream in color.

Mussels are a great source of high-quality protein and minerals, so they provide numerous nutritional benefits.

Fresh off the rocks always tastier, so long as locals don't damage the mussel beds when removing or strip too many this will remain a good food source in time to come @naty16
