Translated from Greek, "βουρου δουσης" means house manager, housekeeper. And this very accurately describes this cute animal.
They spend almost all their time searching for various foods, which they then store in their homes. And chipmunks don’t just put everything in a pile, but carefully sort their food. A real storekeeper!

Mostly these guys live in forests, but you can also meet them in city parks where people like to walk.
However, unlike their relatives - squirrels, chipmunks do not beg for food and do not climb on people, but always remain wild and timid.

The reserves created by the chipmunk allow it to survive the winter. The animal hibernates, but wakes up in the middle of winter to feed itself.
