in WE ARE MOVING4 years ago

My lemongrass plant is ever growing. I bought one stalk of lemongrass in a supermarket and cut the bottom part leaving about 3 inches.

I soaked the end part in a glass of water and changed it every 2 days. After a few days, some roots developed.

Once the roots are stable and developed (after 2 - 3 weeks), I transfer it in a pot using a mixed soil.

I placed my herb plant in a window sill where it can get at least 6 hours of sunshine. I water the plant only if it feels dry, To check it, I stick my finger to an inch into the soil. If it's a bit damp, I wait a day or 2 to water them.

I already use the leaves several times from cooking soup, it will fill your kitchen with aromatic and mild lemony scent.

Many people believe that this tall plant contains lots of health and medicinal benefits. Making tea by brewing the stalks can help to Lower cholesterol, prevents infection, relieves anxiety and bloating.

Overall, Lemongrass or citronella is very easy to propagate provided you meet it's requirements.

I am going to add more stalks and propagate again for endless uses.

Have a wonderful day.
