Strength

in Amazing Nature2 years ago

The power of nature. Nothing can compare to it. No other force. No efforts of humans.

IMG_20220513_221942.jpg

It was quite interesting for me to observe the growth of the leaves of the Diospyros kaki or Japanese persimmon.

IMG_20220513_222006.jpg

I already told you, this is one of my favorite fruit, along with the figs.

IMG_20220513_222038.jpg

And second, I've never seen anything like that before.

IMG_20220513_221916.jpg
(First day from my observation.)

In my native language, this fruit is called "paradise apple", so many people mistakenly call it that, translating it literally into English, without knowing its real English name.

(Third day)

Apple. They call it apple. It is called apple.
Although, in my opinion, it has nothing to do with apple.
For me, it has nothing to do with anything.

IMG_20220513_222621.jpg
(Sixth day)

Therefore, I watched with interest and attention the development of this young tree, its buds and fragile young leaves.

(Seventh day)

And everything was going very well, until one day, on the ninth day after the beginning of my observation, I noticed something very disturbing.

It had been raining for the last few days. And what was my surprise when I went to see this young tree afterwards: some of its leaves looked like scalded.

(Ninth day)

Most likely it rained acid rain or rain with some other chemicals with it to get here. And the view was so sad that in the following days I did not go to the tree again.

CYMERA_20220504_154825~2.jpg

I went there 13 days later.

And then, after another whole week:

To notice something very strange.
I was sure the tree was dead or about to die. That there is no salvation for it, that it will not bear fruit this year, and this is the lightest thing that will follow from this acid rain.

But a miracle happened.
A miracle that only nature is capable of.

CYMERA_20220513_181557~2.jpg

New, fresh leaves emerge from the places of the affected others.

CYMERA_20220513_181447~2.jpg

It's as if nothing had happened. It's as if this young tree had somehow overcome the shock and stress of the poison.

CYMERA_20220513_181511~2.jpg

It has shaken off it and is now trying to move on. As if nothing had happened.

CYMERA_20220513_181627~2.jpg

And it does it.

CYMERA_20220513_181608~2.jpg

There is no doubt about it 💚

Not sure if these produce fruit usually, but have you ever bit a non-ripe persimmon? I did once as a boy and wow! That will wake you up! Talk about a chalky bitter sour taste. :)

Yes, this tree produces fruit, although is very young. I was very lucky to eat so many of it last year.
I know what you mean about the taste when unripe. Its probably because of the tannin. That is why patience is required 😁. It is difficult for me to wait for the fruits to ripen because they are my favorite fruits, but waiting is inevitable. 😊

Nature overcomes everything, true :)
Glad to see the positive outcome and how that young tree recovered!

You know, that was actually the most incredible thing I've ever seen. I was so sad for that poor tree, that I even didn't want to go to see how it was going. I thought it was dying. And then suddenly... yesterday I took the next pictures of it - there are already big, fresh, green leaves there on it. And I'm so excited now - on the one hand because it is not dead. On the other - I hope to eat again this year from its wonderful fruits. 😊

Good it has, as it seems, solid roots, not damaged by the acid rain :)

Thanks for the token :)

If this acid rain also damaged tree roots, then I probably wouldn't have survived either. Or we have all mutated and we have much greater survival forces than trees. 😌 Who knows?

Madness...

Total, absolute f**king madness.
