Estos días estaba en la parte de atrás de la casa limpiando un poco, dejando sólo las plantas que dan fruto y otras que sólo decoran. Me encanta pasar tiempo al aire libre observando los pájaros que vienen a beber agua o a buscar comida, incluso hay un proyecto en mente para hacer algo bonito, en madera quizás, para ponerles agua y comida.
Aprovechando el día al aire libre, eché un vistazo a nuestros cultivos caseros y me encantó lo hermosos que son. Para los que no me conocen soy de Bolívar y está dominado por la agricultura.
These days I was in the back of the house cleaning up a bit, leaving only the plants that bear fruit and others that only decorate. I love to spend time outdoors watching the birds that come to drink water or look for food, there is even a project in mind to make something nice, in wood perhaps, to put water and food on them.
Taking advantage of the day outdoors, I took a look at our home grown crops and was enchanted by how beautiful they are. For those who do not know me I am from Bolivar and it is dominated by agriculture.

This is the seed that gives the yam plant as it grows.
El maíz, la yuca, el ñame, el plátano y la patilla son los productos más cultivados en la zona. Mi abuela paterna es del campo y siempre ha cultivado y vive de eso. Desde allí nos envían a menudo arroz, verduras, maíz y lo aprovechamos para plantar aquí en casa, la tierra es muy buena para eso.
Corn, yucca, yam, and plantain are the most widely grown products in the area. My paternal grandmother is from the countryside and has always cultivated and lives from that. From there they often send us rice, vegetables, corn and we take advantage of it to plant here at home, the land is very good for that.
Esta casa perteneció a mi abuela paterna que vivió aquí por un tiempo luego se fue al campo. Ella hizo esta casa similar a un campo y tenía muchas plantas entre ellas; una de aguacate, mandarina, naranja, limón, pumalaca, lechosa, mango, guayaba, anón y guanábano pero se hicieron muchas modificaciones ya que era una construcción bastante antigua y la mayoría de ellas fueron cortadas. Dejando sólo el cacao, el coco, el aloe vera y el limón.
This house belonged to my paternal grandmother who lived here for a while then went to the country. She made this house similar to a field and had many plants among them; one of avocado, tangerine, orange, lemon, pumalac, milky, mango, guava, anon and soursop but many modifications were made since it was a fairly old construction and most of them were cut. Leaving only the cocoa, coconut, aloe vera and lemon.
Con el tiempo empezamos a cultivar otras plantas que podíamos utilizar en nuestro beneficio, realmente es una ventaja tenerlas porque cuando llegue el momento de la cosecha será un gasto menos al comprar para la comida.
Eventually we started to grow other plants that we could use for our benefit, it really is an advantage to have them because when it comes time to harvest it will be one less expense when buying for food.
Como pueden ver, tomé muchas fotos porque planeaba subir algo personal al blog, aprovechando al máximo mi tiempo. Por suerte para mí algunos pájaros llegaron cuando todo estaba limpio y posaron para mí jajaja.
As you can see, I took a lot of pictures because I was planning to upload something personal to the blog ,making the most of my time. Luckily for me some birds arrived when everything was clean and posed for me hahaha.
