In addition, gray doves are quite tough in defending their territory or occupying a new one. I had a sad experience when my peacock-tailed white doves lived in my attic. And one day I saw a nest of gray doves there. I felt sorry for them and did not evict and it was a mistake. Very soon they brought a whole flock there. But besides that, they killed all the white female doves and all chicks.
But baby dove is a cute and cute creature. By the way, people rarely see dove chicks. They hatch from eggs almost completely bald and helpless and their parents keep them warm all the time.
