COVID19 must be confusing for pigeons. All the places where the humans had been eating and leaving crumbs are suddenly empty.
As you mentioned, pigeons are acclimated to people. There are sidewalk cafes and squares that were a reliable source of food for hundreds of years and now they are mysteriously empty and the people are wearing masks.
I think you’re right about that. Pigeons used to approach humans for asking foods but now that the virus caused the humans to avoid places, birds must perhaps moved to another place where they can get food the natural way. Thanks 😊!
