Saludos apreciada comunidad les deseo un feliz inicio de semana y que puedan lograr todo lo que tienen planificado. Hoy les comparto un sencillo top de traje de baño, para el cual utilicé una linda tela con estampado floral, es un modelo que no tiene complicaciones para su elaboración, pero a pesar de eso, pensé que no iba a poder terminarlo ya que estuve ordenando algunas cosas en casa y luego estuve peleando un poco con la máquina.

Today I share with you a simple swimsuit top, for which I used a nice fabric with a floral print, it is a model that does not have complications for its elaboration, but despite that, I thought that I was not going to be able to finish it since I was ordering some things at home and then I was fighting a bit with the machine.

Step by step / Paso a paso

🌴Para este proyecto necesitaremos cortar 2 piezas en lycra, 2 en forro y 2 tiras 1 de 90 cm y otra de 100 cm de largo x 2.5 cm de ancho.

🌴For this project we will need to cut 2 pieces in lycra, 2 in lining and 2 strips, 1 of 90 cm and another of 100 cm long x 2.5 cm wide.

🌴 Fijamos la lycra al forro por la parte superior e inferior, puede ser hacer con la overlock o con costura zigzag.

🌴 We fix the lycra to the lining at the top and bottom, it can be with the overlock or with zigzag stitching.

🌴 Cosemos la elástica por los costados, para hacerlo primero introducimos la elástica en la máquina y cocemos aproximadamente 7 centímetros, luego incorporamos la tela, vamos estirando la elástica suavemente, en este paso no debemos estirar la lycra, hoy me tocó descoser un montón de veces porque la maquina estaba un poco caprichosa y se enredaron los hilos varias veces, parece que conspiraba en mi contra, pero finalmente pude coser la elástica.

🌴 We sew the elastic on the sides, to do it first we introduce the elastic in the machine and we sew approximately 7 centimeters, then we incorporate the fabric, we are stretching the elastic gently, in this step we should not stretch the lycra, today I had to unstitch a lot of times because the machine was a bit capricious and the threads got tangled several times, it seems that it conspired against me, but finally I was able to sew the elastic.

🌴 Repisamos la elástica con costura zigzag estirado un poco para evitar que se hagan bolsitas.

🌴Le hacemos unos canales de 1 ½ cm en la parte superior e inferior para las tiras, yo prefiero bastearlo a mano de esta manera se me facilita la costura con la máquina, ya que los bordes quedan un poco más grueso debido a la elástica, también debemos recordar siempre rematar las costuras para que no se descosan nuestras prendas; para introducir las tiras por los canales nos podemos ayudar con un alfiler imperdible o con un gancho para el cabello.

🌴 We make channels of 1 ½ cm in the upper and lower part for the strips, I prefer to use it by hand in this way, it makes it easier for me to sew with the machine, since the edges are a little thicker due to the elastic, too. We must always remember to finish the seams so that our garments do not unravel; To insert the strips through the channels we can help ourselves with a safety pin or a hair clip.
