Taca, taca, taca, taca es uno de los sonidos que más satisfacción me da, es la sensación de poder y de meta cumplida; es una combinación entre el metal y la madera. Tenía unos 8 años cuando entré a casa de una modista y vi en acción a la máquina de coser, me pareció increíble lo colorido del lugar, el orden en su desorden, la agilidad de la modista para sostener cinta métrica, tela y alfileres a la vez, para luego ensamblar todo con el taca, taca, taca, mientras conversaba con mi mamá.
Taca, taca, taca, taca is one of the sounds that gives me the most satisfaction, it is the feeling of power and goal achievement; it is a combination between metal and wood. I was about 8 years old when I entered a dressmaker's house and saw the sewing machine in action, I found it incredible how colorful the place was, the order in its disorder, the agility of the dressmaker to hold tape measure, fabric and pins at the same time, and then to assemble everything with the taca, taca, taca, while she was talking to my mom.
Disfrutaba mucho en ese lugar, ver telas pasando a través de una palanquita con hilo para hacer un tutú, una malla de ballet con flores que eran lucidos por mi y otras 10 niñas en el baile de fin de curso de la academia de danza. Siempre me pareció mágico hasta que mi papá llevó a casa nuestra propia taca taca y empecé a ver como era el proceso con mayor detalle, era un placer verlo hacer sus costuras.
I enjoyed a lot in that place, seeing fabrics passing through a little lever with thread to make a tutu, a ballet net with flowers that were worn by me and 10 other girls in the dance academy's end of year dance. I always found it magical until my dad brought home our own taca taca and I started to see the process in more detail, it was a pleasure to watch him do his stitching.
Luego él partió y solo 3 años después me atreví a tocar la taca taca, la enhebre de forma natural, sentí nostalgia y confusión, pero el sonido me hizo sonreír, aún lo hace, con la máquina de coser supe que era buena uniendo cosas, gente, materiales, al menos es lo que me hace sentir. Ese taca taca es mi sonido felíz, mi motor de poder, la conexión entre mis personas favoritas, recuerdos y sueños por cumplir. Hablando de eso lo dejo hasta aquí porque voy a coser un regalo.
Then he died and only 3 years later I dared to touch the taca taca, I thread it naturally, I felt nostalgia and confusion, but the sound made me smile, it still does, with the sewing machine I knew. I was good at joining things, people, materials, at least that's what makes me feel. That taca taca is my happy sound, my engine of power, the connection between my favorite people, memories and dreams to fulfill. Talking about that I’m stopping here because I'm going to sew a gift.

Love shape is just looking perfect for sewing. Its difficult to achieve curve shape perfectly by sewing. Nicely done. Your sewing skill is good which we have seen couple of your early posts as well. Good to see.

I feel you... sometimes memories are tied to objects (like a sewing machine) and evoke such a strange mix of feelings, of joy and sadness. I lost my father last year and I could not paint for a while (he also painted). It is good to hear, you found back to the sewing machine and that it is now giving you so much joy.
