Hola hivers ¿algún otro con la fiebre Barbie? Y pensar, que yo compré esta tela solo para hacer un vestido de regalo, pero los planes cambiaron, cuando la cumpleañera me pidió otra cosa. Entonces vino la era Barbie y voilá, bienvenidos todos los accesorios posibles con ella. El tutorial de hoy es una diadema con arruchado.
Hello hivers, anyone else with Barbie fever? And to think, I bought this fabric just to make a gift dress, but plans changed, when the birthday girl asked me for something else. Then came the Barbie era and voila, welcome to all possible accessories with her. Today's tutorial is a ruffled headband.
Vamos manos a la obra: para esta diadema utilicé tela satinada rosa, pero puedes hacerlo en cualquier otra que sea suave, tijeras, elástica, hilo, agujas y alfileres, cinta métrica, tiza para marcar. Ahora a la confección, acá recorté 3 rectángulos, el primero y principal mide 70 cm x 12 cm, el segundo mide unos 47 cm x 5 cm, el tercero 22 cm x 6 cm y la elástica de 18 cm. Todo esto dependerá de lo vistosa que quieras tu diadema.
Let's get to work: for this headband I used pink satin fabric, but you can use any other soft fabric, scissors, elastic, thread, needles and pins, measuring tape, chalk to mark. Now to the confection, here I cut 3 rectangles, the first and main one measures 70 cm x 12 cm, the second one measures about 47 cm x 5 cm, the third one 22 cm x 6 cm and the elastic of 18 cm. All this will depend on how colorful you want your headband.
Todos los rectángulos los cosí por la mitad, a lo largo, enfrentando los derechos, primero con una costura simple y luego con zig zag, dejando los extremos sin esta última puntada y les di vuelta. Con el rectángulo mediano y un alfiler lo atravesé por todo el rectángulo más grande, asegurando uno de los bordes mientras fruncía, al tener el fruncido ideal le pase una costura recta simple en los extremos como ves en la imagen.
I sewed all the rectangles in half, lengthwise, right sides together, first with a simple seam and then with a zig zag stitch, leaving the ends without this last stitch and turning them inside out. With the medium rectangle and a pin I went through the larger rectangle, securing one of the edges while gathering. When I had the ideal gathering I sewed a simple straight seam at the ends as you can see in the image.
Con el rectángulo más pequeño y ayudada con un alfiler atravesé la elástica, haciendo el mismo procedimiento anterior, luego de asegurar los extremos con costura, es tiempo de unir las partes. Enfrenté los derechos de los extremos de la pieza principal con la que tiene elástica y así los grandes abracé a los pequeños para pasar primero una costura recta simple y luego zigzag.
With the smaller rectangle and helped with a pin I went through the elastic, doing the same procedure as before, after securing the ends with stitching, it was time to join the parts. I faced the right sides of the ends of the main piece with the one with the elastic and so the big ones embraced the small ones to pass first a simple straight seam and then a zigzag.
Finalmente limpié los excedentes y quemé un poco las puntas, así queda un acabado más profesional, al menos para mí. Luego le di vuelta a las punta, procurando guardar las costuras y listo la diadema rosada de satin, me encanta como queda, pues luce como una corona. Finally I cleaned the excess and burned the ends a little, so it looks more professional, at least for me. Then I turned the ends, trying to keep the seams and ready the pink satin headband, I love how it looks like a crown. The photos are my own record, made with a redmi note 9, edited in canva.
