I need your help, sock knitters! / 靴下を丈夫にするにはどうしたら・・・

Last month, I made a pair of wool socks for my partner. After one month, I fond they already have big holes 😱

I wonder 100% wool yarns are not durable enough for his tough use ... he just wears them inside house though 😅Or they don't get holes if I knitted them with sock yarn with some synthetic fiber. His other house socks has the same holes but he wears them for years.

I wonder how can I mend it. Certainly I must use yarn that contains some synthetic fiber. Or is there any knitting technique to make heels and souls strong?

If you know some tips, please share it to me as a comment to this post!

I believe there must be tiny monsters who follow people around and eat their socks. And these monsters love wool, acrylic and nylon... 🤣 Aber Scherz beiseite, I have no real solution. My socks get holes super fast (both the hand knitted and the bought ones) and I sometimes pondered if it is because I mostly walk in socks in our apartment... I repair them mostly with cheap yarn which felts easy, so that my not so professional weaving/mending closes the hole completely.
If you ever get a good advice, please share, I also would love to know how our socks could last longer.
