I was lazy for writing as it gets busier and busier for my garden ;) But I cannot miss Needlework Monday. So here is about my next project.
After I finished knitting my daughter's pullover and my partner's socks, I thought about knitting my partner's pullover, which I offered him last year for his birthday. I was waiting for him to decide a color combination. He has never decided it. So I thought about knitting with available colors on Finkhof's web store, where I bought yarn for my daughter's pullover. Finkhof is a sheep friendly shepherd's cooperative in southern Germany.
Unfortunately some colors are missing so I gave up knitting as it's more gardening & sewing season now for me. Somehow it's nice that they don't overproduce. I'll get a notification once the missing yarns are back on the store :)
Instead of knitting a sweater, I decided to sew a pair of pants for me. This time a bit loosely fit jeans as I want to wear it for gardening, being at a market etc. Moreover the fabric I wanted to buy doesn't contain elastic material.
I started making a base pattern last week.
I'll arrange the base pattern by comparing to a jeans pattern I copied from my favorite jeans few years ago. I made two jeans out of it so far.
I got fabric I ordered today. I'll wash it tomorrow once and ready to start sewing after I finish my work for this week.

子どものセーターと父ちゃんの靴下を編み終わって、父ちゃんのセーターを編もうと思ったのですが、このところ注文している羊飼の組合のオンラインショップではほしい毛糸のうち何色かが欠品でした。大量生産で過剰在庫をかかえるよりよっぽどいいと思います。毛糸は買えるようになったら通知が届くように設定して、春だし編み物は少しおやすみして洋裁をすることにしました。
自分のズボンがもう一本あるといいなと思い、ズボンを縫う準備をしています。今回使う布はストレッチ素材が入っていないので少しゆるめの形にするために原型から作っています。これをいつもの細身のジーンズの型紙と比べながら型紙を作る予定です。
今日ちょうど布が届いたので、明日水通しをして、今週仕事が終わったら縫い始めたいです。

Sewing jeans without stretch would be an adventure for me (ok, honestly sewing pants in generell is still an adventure for me). But I am looking forward to your experience with the material.
That's right. I cannot make a compromise without elastic material ... I'll see. It's my easter holiday's homework 😁
