Seems my daughter likes to wear dress this season. I understand her as there were already hot days around 30 degrees in the last weeks.
So now it's time to sew one for her 🦀 🌞
We bought all this fabric from my favorite fabric store when it closed in this spring.
My daughter's favorite animal is starfish ... You may wonder "How come she likes starfish!?". I know, kids' favorite animals are regularly more like dogs, cats etc.
She had a baby bed with a tiny plush starfish. Since then she likes it (Fleedy, a girl starfish in her age). It also probably because I told her "the starfish can talk to your grand grand father and mother, who loved ocean". My grandpa was a captain of tanker ships and I have good old memories spending time with my grandparents in ocean by cruising, fishing and swimming.
Ja so the fabric was long time on our shopping list as it fits more to summer. The first half became my daughter's pajama.
I wasn't sure the rest was enough for her summer dress. But I could make it 🙌 ......... with a mistake 😱 I cut a part accidentally when I was matching print on pockets. But luckily I could hide the part with a pocket.
I'm happy to see that my daughter likes the dress 😊

子どもの夏のワンピースを縫いました。シンプルで風がよく通るデザインで夏を快適に過ごせるかな。
彼女の大好きな生き物はヒトデです・・・・・・ヒトデ w 赤ちゃん時代に使っていたベッドにヒトデの小さなぬいぐるみがついているのを気に入って今も一緒に寝ています。何なら青いのは私が端切れで2つ増やしたくらいです 😅
そんななのでこのワンピースの生地を見たときには親子で一目惚れだったのですが、夏に使いたいねと長らくショッピングリストに入れておいたままでした。そんな時に、この生地を扱っていた生地屋さんが閉店するとのことで残っている分を全部購入しました。
半分はパジャマにして、残り半分をワンピースにしようと思っていたのですが、ぎりっぎりでできました。実はポケットの柄合わせをした時に間違って前身頃の生地を切ってしまい、ポケットの下に直した部分がありますが内緒です。。
シンプルでゆったりしたデザインなので、夏を涼しく過ごせるかな？子どもは喜んでくれているようで、作ったかいがありました。毎度のことながらうれしいです。
