Certain things cannot be controlled and that's life.

On Wednesday I made a comeback post only to be hit by fever few hours to my relaxation. I know it's as a result of accumulated burn-out over the weeks.

I am feeling way better now and well prepared to share a Blazer I've left in my archive few weeks before I AWOL here.

This blazer is so fine that I couldn't stop admiring it.

It was made with a very fine and quality wool. And, I did a thing at the back which made it very unique.

This is a double-breasted blazer which can be styled differently.

I drafted it using the Helen Armstrong pattern after which I interfaced the fabric, to give it stability.

After interfacing, I proceeded to sewing. I did a false pocket instead of a welt pocket.

Ironing is one tedious work of a fashion designer. But the trick to well-tailored outfit is giving each seam a good press.

I turned the pieces with lining. The only lining that works for blazer is a suit -lining. Any other one wouldn't give it the structure it needs.

I joined the front shoulder to the back shoulder.

After which, I joined the collar to the blazer and it was looking great already.

Another delicate part of blazer making is the sleeve. I drafted the sleeve and attached it to the blazer before detailing the back of the blazer.

I used an eyelet to make a mini corset on the blazer's back bodice and used buttons on the sleeves.

This is indeed a masterpiece. I love everything about this project. Is this a fit you will also love to rock?
