I hope you are well, or are trying to be well. I am well. In fact, I feel wonderful. Today, two amazing pieces of news found me one after the other. The first was the arrival of my aunt, cousin, and grandmother from Azerbaijan, and the second was that the birthday gift I sent to my beloved Pravesh for his birthday, albeit late, finally arrived. I made the gift myself, and I think you can tell what it is from the title and the cover photo.
The decision-making stage for this was actually quite easy. Afterwards came the step of buying materials. I bought three balls of yarn – or rather, two, as I already had black. I only bought white and dark grey. I chose the darkest grey available in the shop. It was not dark enough, but it was the best I could get.
Also, I did not create this figure with my own "wonderful" knowledge. I followed a tutorial, which you can find here.
For the stuffing, I used cotton. To be honest, it would have been easier for me if I had used something else, but cotton was what I had at the time.
Now that I have given you a bit of background, I can move on to how I made it.
I began with the head, just as in the video. The magic ring will be your biggest helper here. I used a 2.5 mm crochet hook. The main reason was to keep the stitches tight. Making sure the cotton inside does not show through was one of the priorities. For this reason, single crochet is used throughout.
I am not sure how I can describe the horns to you, but after making two small pots, I alternated between decreasing on one side and increasing on the other. As I said, I am not entirely sure how to explain this, so you might want to check the video as well, though I do not think the video explanation is very good either. I followed the written instructions in the description.
After stuffing and closing everything, it was time for the next step.
Unfortunately, I did not take photos of these parts. I realised this just now while looking at my bookshelf. Still, since you can find the details in the video, I do not think it will be a big problem. I can say that making the body was the longest part of the process. While the arms were fine, I struggled with the legs in the same way as with the horns. This time it was not due to the shape but because of the colour. Black is a very difficult colour for this. While it looks great, it is quite hard to work with.
Towards the end, after finishing each section, it was time for assembly, and I used a needle to help me. Before fixing the pieces, I experimented with the positioning in a few places to decide where they looked best.
Also, unlike in the video, I made the cloak a bit longer. In fact, I did not just make it longer but also a bit wider, so that it would wrap around better. At this stage, it makes more sense to check how it looks on your figure and proceed accordingly.
Once everything was finished, while the video used ready-made parts for the eyes, I made two pieces myself using a magic ring. Again, I decided on the positioning first and then sewed them on.
It took me about 6 hours to finish Hollow Knight. It was a very enjoyable process for me, because I was preparing it for Pravesh’s birthday. I was happy with it. I still am. I am glad I made it.
I sent it on 19 September. This parcel from Turkey to India took longer than I had expected. Although I was informed it would arrive within 10–15 days, it only reached Pravesh today. I had been waiting for this moment so I could talk to you about the figure.
I think it was worth it, especially after seeing the expression on my beloved’s face. I am glad I made it and that I had the chance to send it.
My next goal is to make a Hornet figure. That will take some more time and is not something I will deal with right now. I want to spend time with my guests. See you later. Take care of yourself in advance, stay in health and love, and please remember that;

Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Ben iyiyim. Hatta kendimi harika hissediyorum. Bugün harika iki haber peşpeşe beni buldu. Birincisi Azerbaycan'dan gelen teyzem, kuzenim ve anneannem oldu, ikincisi ise sevgilim, Pravesh'in doğum günü için ona gönderdiğim doğum günü hediyesinin geç de olsa varmış olması. Hediyeyi ise kendim yaptım ve bence ne olduğunu başlık ve kapak fotoğrafından anlayabilirsiniz.
Bunu yapmak için karar verme aşaması aslında oldukça kolaydı. Sonrasu ise malzeme almaktı. 3 adet ip aldım, daha doğrusu 2 tane aldım çünkü elimde siyah zaten vardı. Sadece beyaz ve koyu gri aldım. İpleri aldığım mağazada bulunan en koyu griyi aldım. Yeterince koyu değildi fakat alabileceğimin en iyisi buydu.
Ayrıca bu figürü kendi "harika" bilgimle kendim yapmadım. Bir tutorial takip ettim, o videoyu buradan bulabilirsiniz.
İçini doldurmak için pamuk kullandım. Aslında başka bir şey kullansaydım benim için daha rahat olabilirdi fakat o anda elimde pamuk vardı.
Biraz arka planından bahsettiğime göre şimdi yapılışına geçebilirim.
İşe ilk önce kafa ile başladım aynı videoda olduğu gibi. Sihirli halka burada en büyük yardımcınız olacak. 2,5 mm'lik tığ kullandım. Bunun asıl sebebi örgünün sıkı olması. İçindeki pamuğu göstermemesi önceliklerden biri. Bunun içinde zaten single crochet kullanılıyor.
Size boynuzları nasıl anlatabileceğimden emin değilim ama iki küçük çömlek yaptıktan sonra bir kısmı azaltırken diğer kısmı çoğaltarak ilerledim. Dediğim gibi bunu nasıl anlatabileceğim konusunda pek emin değilim bu yüzden isterseniz videoya da bakabilirsiniz ama videodaki anlatımın da iyi olduğu pek düşünmüyorum. Ben açıklama kısmındaki izlemeleri takip ettim.
Her şeyi doldurup kapattıktan sonra iş bir sonraki adıma gelmişti.
Bu kısımlarda fotoğraf çekmemişim ne yazık ki. Şu anda kitaplığıma baktığımda fark ettim. Zaten detayları videoda bulabileceğiniz için çok büyük sorun olmaz diye düşünüyorum. Vücudunu yapmak en uzun süren süreçti diyebilirim. Kollar olmasa da bacak kısmını aynı boynuzlardaki detayları yaptığım gibi yaparken zorlandım. Bu sefer şekilden dolayı değil de renkten dolayı zorlandım. Siyah oldukça zor bir renk bunun için. Harika görünse de işlemesi oldukça zor.
Sonuna doğru, her bölümü bitirdikten sonra sıra birleştirmeye geldiğinde iğnenin yardımını aldım. Sabitlemeden önce belli bölgelerde denemeler ile konumlarına karar verdim.
Ayrıca videodakinin aksine pelerini biraz daha uzun yaptım. Hatta sadece uzun yapmakla kalmadım biraz daha geniş de yaptım ki çevresini daha iyi sarsın. Bu noktada yaptığınız figürün üzerinde nasıl duracağına bakarak ilerlemek daha mantıklı.
Her şey bittikten sonra videoda gözlere hazır parçalar kullanılırken ben kendim sihirli halka kullanarak iki parça hazırladım. Bunun da yine aynı şekilde ilk önce konumlarına karar verdim, ardından diktim.
Hollow Knight'ı bitirmek yaklaşık 6 saatimi kadar aldı. Benim için oldukça eğlenceli bir süreçti çünkü Pravesh'in doğum günü için hazırlıyordum. Ben hâlimden memnundum. Hâlâ da öyleyim. İyi ki de yapmışım.
Eylül'ün 19'unda kargoya verdim. Türkiye'den Hindistan'a giden bu kargo düşündüğümden daha uzun sürdü diyebilirim. Aslında beni 10-15 gün içerisinde varacak diye bilgilendirseler de kargo bugün Pravesh'e vardı. Bu figürün hakkında sizlerle konuşabilmek için bunu bekliyordum.
Bence değdi, özellikle de sevgilimin yüzündeki ifadeyi gördükten sonra. İyi ki de yapmışım ve gönderme fırsatım olmuş.
