Hello everyone

Happy weekend and a lovely day to you all out there, I hope you are all doing great today, it's weekend and most of us are engaged with one activity or the other while some are at their place of work, I'm sending you a warm greetings from here. The weather out here is so sunny that I don't really feel like going out though i have a lot of things to buy at the market for my sewing project but I have decided to stay back at home to complete the pouch requested by my friend, she asked me to make 3 different types of purse for her just as I have been designing for other people, she saw some of my creative design of how I made beautiful purse for someone and she love them so much. Today I will be sharing with you the cutting and sewing process of this purse I made with two different fabrics, a plain and floral lace fabric with zipper to secure the item in it.

Just last week, my friend requested that I should make her 3 types of purse and I have made the first one, here is the second one and I hope you will like the beautiful outcome.

Join me as I take you through the cutting and sewing process.

I cut out 12 x 9.5" of plain fabric with lining and interfacing of same shape and the interfacing was ironed on the main fabric

I folded the fabric in two and placed it on the Flora lace fabric to cut out half of the shape

The floral lace fabric was placed at the center of the main fabric and it was sewn right side to right side

The floral lace fabric was turned to cover the other side while I top stitched on it and sew it round

I folded the edges to make a curve on the four corners then, it was taken to the sewing machine where I placed the zipper on the middle and sew it to 10" on the main fabric on both sides

I placed the lining on the zipper and sew on both sides after which I cut out the excess lining and top stitched on the right side

It was zipped together and I measured 1" on the base and cut it out

I sew on both sides and the edges at the base then I cut out the excess zipper as well and I have this.

It was finally turned to the right side and the beautiful purse is ready for use.

This is the final outcome of the front and back, the floral lace makes the purse look nice and with a lovely design, I'm sure my friend will be so happy to have this for herself.

This is really amazing

Thanks so much.

You are welcome

You have stitched the purse very neatly. Also the shape of it came out perfectly. Nice idea of stitching a purse at home.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate your comment.

This is beautiful and creative

You make lovely purses and this is no exception. Keep up the good work Lady as the sky is your starting point.
