As a seamstress, this is the time we all get busy with sewing of outfit for people around us, I woke up this morning to set aside all the fabric I will be making for Christmas and I realized that I have a lot to sew this season and i still have more coming but before then, my niece wanted me to make a beautiful headband for her to complement her outfit for tomorrow's service to church, then I remembered I had made this beautiful sunflower with fabric that was set aside and fortunately, it will be so useful for this urgent headband I had to make.

You can go through my blog for the cutting and sewing process of this fabric sunflower I made with the simple step by step process

Let me take you through the making of this beautiful headband and I know you will like the beautiful outcome

As I mentioned earlier, the sunflower was made and set aside so I proceeded to the making of the band as I measured and cut out 1.5 x 36" from same color of fabric I used as the covering at the center

It was folded in two and it was taken to the sewing machine as I sew on it after which it was turned to the right side

I measured and cut out an elastic band of 18"

The elastic band was inserted in the loop I made and it was secure on both ends

I cut out a small piece of circle to cover the back of the sunflower I made with the help of my gum

I placed the sunflower at the point where the band was sewn together to cover the rough center with the help of my gum which was placed on the back of the sunflower and band.

This is the final and beautiful outcome of the headband I made for my niece, I decided to try it on to see how beautiful it will look on me as well as on her when delivered to her
