Hello everyone

A beautiful weekend to you all on this lovely Saturday, I hope you are doing great, it's weekend and I hope many of you have beautiful plans for this weekend with family and friends, for me, this weekend is for me to get some simple orders I received done before the beginning of a new week. I woke up this morning with the thought of sewing these projects as quickly as possible to be delivered. I will be sharing with you the making of this simple double color fabric pouch with zipper I made for my sister's neighbor.

My sister has really helped me in advertising my work to her friends, colleague and neighbors that is why I love making new and beautiful bags for her so she can help tell people about my work and most times, people see her with whatever I made for her and admire it, in no time, i will be contacted to make something similar for them. Her neighbor recently requested that I make a small pouch for her which will be suitable for her phone and other little items when going out, she insisted that she wouldn't want it to be too big just something small and I decided to make it stylish by making use of two colors fabric and the outcome was really nice and beautiful.

Join me as I take you through the cutting and sewing process.
From one of my fabrics, I measured and cut out 10 x 6" with interfacing iron on it

Then from the other fabrics, measured and cut out 2 pieces of 10 x 4" with interfacing iron on it

I sew the two fabrics on both sides of the single fabric and top stitch on both sides

This was used to cut out lining of same shape

The main fabric was folded together just as seen below and I marked 1 x 1" at the bottom and 1.5" at the top, it was connected together and cut out.

The same process was repeated on the lining as well the I placed a zipper at the top and sew it on both sides with the lining

For the handle, I cut out 2.5 x 9" it was folded and sewn together.

The zipper was top stitched on the right side then I placed lining to lining and fabric to fabric, I sew on both sides leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out with the handle by the side.

It was turned inside out through the opening on the lining and I top stitch on the opening.

It was finally turned to the right side and this is the beautiful outcome

This is just as small as my sister's neighbor wanted it to be and I'm glad it came out so nice and beautiful and I hope you like the beautiful outcome as well.

This pouch looks amazing from the outside. It is so beautiful and elegant. Love it. Your sister's neighbor will definitely like this.
