I will be sharing with you all with great pleasure how I made a make up bag for my friend for her journey.

My friend has an event to attend this weekend and her has contacted me to make a simple makeup bag for her which she can travel with, as ladies, we always want to go out with some of our simple makeup items in our bag especially when we are going for an event outside the city that we would have to sleep over that is the case of my friend Goodness, she has an event to attend outside the city and she didn't want to go with the whole of her makeup kit that is where I come in, I'm to make a bag to contain few of the things she needed.

I decided to use my skills to make this bag with the use of a thick fabric that will make it firm and last longer for future use, I'm sure you will like the beautiful outcome after I had shown you the simple step by step process.

Let's get started on how I made this make up bag with zipper to secure the items in it.

From the thick fabric, I measured and cut out 2 pieces of 12 x 8" with interfacing iron on both fabrics

I also cut out 2 pieces of black lining with same measurement

I placed a long zipper on the main fabric with the lining on the zipper with the zipper head downward and it was sewn together on both sides

I placed fabric to fabric and lining to lining and it was sewn together on both sides

It was turned together as I have the main fabric and lining together with the zipper at the middle and I sew on both sides

The excess zipper was trimmed off and I measured 4" on each corner of the main fabric

Then I sew on all the sides where I measured 4" from one end to the other

I decided not to cut it off so I folded two ends of the main fabric together and secure it with my hand needle and thread

It was turned to the right side through the zipper opening and this is the final and beautiful outcome.

I hope you like the simplicity and beautiful outcome of this make up bag made for my friend, I'm sure she will be so happy to have it just as simple as she requested.

Thanks so much for your time, support, comment and encouragement. Until my next post, do have a great and productive week.
