Hello everyone
A beautiful and lovely day to you all in this great community @needleworkmonday i hope you are all doing fine. Its is another beautiful day today for me to share with you all this beautiful creativity i recently made for a friend for an event, it is a simple pouch made with fabric and a zipper to secure the items in it, i also made a lond handle to it to make it easy to hold and carry, i hope you will love and appreciate the beautiful outcome just as my friend did.
My friend contacted me that she will be attending an event on Friday and they were all told to put on a white outfit with wine headgear, my friend has all this except a wine bag to complement her wine shoe and outfit, thinking about getting a wine pag out there in store are so expensive so she decided to contact me for my specialty, then we concluded on making a simple pouch just for her phone, cash and other little items she might be going with and the outcome was really nice.
Join me as i show you the cutting and sewing process
I measured and cut out 2 pieces each of fabric and lining measuring 11 x 7" with interfacing ironed on the main fabric
I placed a zipper on the main fabric and lining on the zipper, then it was taken to the sewing machine to be seen together, the same process was repeated on the other side and twas top stitched on the right side
I cut out another piece of fabric measuring 12 x 2" it was folded in to the middle and folded in two after which it was sewn together on both sides and it was seen to the side of the main fabric to make the handle
I placed fabric to fabric and lining to lining, it was sewn round, leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out
On the four corners, i measured 1x 1" and it was cut out, the excess zipper was cut out as well on both sides
It was taken to the sewing machine where i sew all the corner together to give the pouch a sitting botom
It was finally turned inside out through the opening on the lining and i top stitched on the opening
The lining was tuck in the main pouch and i saw that it was big enough to contain the items that was meant to be kept in it
As simple as that, this is the final and beautiful outcome, now my friend's pouch is ready for her event without spending much.
I hope you like the simplicity and beautiful outcome of this pouch i made for my friend, she was so glad to have it as it helped her to cut cost on buying expensive bag.
