I just realized that I have to make a pouch for every outfit I make for the women around me from their left over fabrics just like this

Greetings to you all on this beautiful day, to all lovers of diy and this great community, I hope you are all doing great, today is another lovely day in this community as I have the privilege to share with you with great pleasure the making of this double zipper pouch I made for my neighbor's friend using her left over pieces of fabric

One thing we all love as women is a pouch or hand bag, I think most women can hardly go out without it, a guy once asked me sometimes ago that what do ladies actually have in their bags most times that makes them go out with big bags then I told him it's just fashion, just to have something to complement out dressing, sometimes we just go out with things we don't actually need in our bag but just to make it big and beautiful to look good on us, I hope you agree with me. Someone like me, I just prefer a pouch big enough to contain my phone, cash and cards and that is why I love making different types for myself especially with pieces of fabric.

I extended this to my mother in-law and some older women around me but it has gone beyond that that everyone I make outfit for now demands for a matching pouch with their outfit, that is why I have to make this for my neighbor's friend as well.

I made this outfit for her last month and as soon as her friend who is my neighbor told her I make pouches as well, she insisted that I make one for her from her left over pieces

I had to look for some pieces and cut out 12 x 9"

I measured another piece of 2 x 9" and interfacing was ironed on both pieces

I cut out lining of 9 x 12" for the side pocket, then I placed it at the top of the fabric and it was sewn with the lining

I placed the other small piece on the zipper and it was sewn together with the inner lining folded up

It was placed on a lining to cut out same measurement

I placed another zipper on the top of the small piece and it was sewn together with the lining

The main fabric was folded up and I sew it on the other side of the zipper with the lining as well

I made the handle as I cut out a small piece, folded it together and sew it on both sides

The main fabric was turned to the wrong side main fabric to main fabric and lining to lining then I placed the handle on the side and it was sewn together on both sides leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out

It was turned to the right side through the opening on the lining and the opening was too stitched on

This is the final and beautiful outcome of the double zipper pouch I made for my neighbor's friend outfit using her left over fabrics

I have realized that henceforth I have to make pouch for every outfit I make for the women around me because I got to understand that they always come back request for it if I don't do it immediately.

I hope you like the beautiful outcome just as I believe she will be so glad to have this.

Making a pouch for every outfit from leftover fabric is such a thoughtful and smart habit.
