Hello everyone

Happy new month and a beautiful new day to you all in this community, greetings to all the seamstress and lovers of creativity, this is our season when we all get busy with making beautiful outfit for people around us and I believe most of us have began our work for the season.
Before now, I have a lot of clothes pile up for me to make for people around me and I have decided to start my sewing on the first if this month and try to finish up on 20th so as to get myself prepared for my niece's wedding that will be coming up on 20th of this month, so I have to try as much as possible to finish all my sewing projects before then, I decided to start with my neighbor's daughter outfit which is just a simple straight gown coz from same fabric of 6yards, I will be making different outfit for her 3 children.

I started with imputing the bodice measurements on the folded fabric to mark out the vertical and horizontal measurement for the upper bodice and it was cut out

The front bodice was placed on another folded fabric to cut out the back bodice with zipper allowance at the back

I placed a plain satin fabric on the front bodice to cut out a V-shape at the front, i cut out 2 pieces with interfacing iron on one of the pieces while the other serves as lining, it was sewn together and set aside

I cut out lining for the front and back bodice, it was used to turn the front and back inside out for neat finishing after I had sewn the V-shape satin to the front bodice and the front and back were sewn together with zipper sewn to the zipper allowance at the back

From the remaining fabric, I cut out a 10" flare with the armhole circumference measurement was used to cut out the armhole opening

I used a matching color bias tape to pipe the hem of the flare for neat finishing on both sleeves

The sleeves were finally sewn to the armhole circumference and this is the final and beautiful outcome

I have completed the first outfit, now to the next and I will be glad to share every outfit I make this season.i hope you like the simple outfit I made for my neighbor's daughter for Christmas.
I will love to see beautiful Christmas outfit you made also, wishing you a merry Christmas in advance
The African-print Christmas outfit turned out vibrant and really cool. Such a beautiful work.
